Bayaer leads to plant trees in Ordos

Bayaer's hometown, Yihe Wusu Sumu Bayin Wenduer Gacha, was generally covered with sand and grasslands were severely desertified, with barely usable ones, residents in his hometown were relocated.

In 2008, Bayaer established a team to plant trees. They have combated desertification more than 80,000 mu and planted over 8.5 million trees in Bayin Wenduer Gacha over a decade.

According to the examination by forestry authorities, the survival rate of the trees reached over 80%. The herdsmen of the Gacha received subsidy payments of no-commercial forests from the country and achieved their goal of income increase. Bayin Wenduer Gacha now has 78,843 mu of forest land certified by the Banner's forestry bureau.

Bayaer plans to train a group of young and capable tree planters in the future while continuing his afforestation efforts. He will not only teach them tree planning techniques but also lead everyone to be wealthy via afforestation.
